Other Peep's Poetry
Still he lives
Truth, reality, honesty.
Scream from his words.
His pride shines through,
whlist surrounded by blind patriotism
he maintainted the reality
of death and bitterness
the futile slaying of youth
their eternity robbed
of life and meaning
senseless massacre
of those who were the future
only he could portray the obsurdity
as he wrote from life
his wounding
did not deter his brilliance
his words
from his anger
from reality
flowed until the end
yet still he lives
in the hearts of those
who could never see
the destruction of limb and soul
and he will still live
for his words
paint the picture
of death
Racism
Why is there the heartache deep within?
Why are people against others with dark skin?
Because of a single colour,
why are people at war?
Why does it mean a difference no matter what the law?
Speaking a different language,
should not be treated as a crime.
Why don't we make peace while there is still time?
It doesn't matter what race we are,
it's no reason to stare.
And if you think about it no racism is truly fair.
Angel's gift
Aching with longing
I bargin with angels
Who carry you to me by winds
Mysteriously cool
Out of the summer heat
My memory of those delicate angels
Has almost been burned away
By the brightness of their gift.
