Premiering June 2001 is a collaborative work from award-winning singer/songwriter Kim Char Meredith and performance artist/choreographer David DeBlieck.
The Mystery Of Us explores the notion of personal biography - what are the influences that makes us who we are today? This will be humorous and poignant program of original music, dance, storytelling and drama. Sample vignettes include "Savage Attack on Butternut Valley," "Mummy's Got Her Pyramid," and "Lady Ursula and the Countess of Salisbury." Songs include "Mystery of You," "Giving and Getting Better," and "The More Excellent Way."

Kim Char Meredith is the winner of the 1999 Hawaii Music Award for "Most Popular Pop Recording Artist," owing to her 1998 CD release, "Slender Line of Lavender." That project also earned Kim a 1999 Gay and Lesbian American Music Award (GLAMA) nomination for Acoustic Recording of the Year, and earned the #1 spot on GAYBC Radio's "Top 10 Out Recordings" for Summer '99. No stranger to recording, Kim has released six CDs, and has been nominated three times for Hawaii's prestigious Na Hoku Hano Hano award.
David DeBlieck MFA, is familiar to many for his work with the Iona Pear Dance Theatre, and performances with Tau Dance Theatre and Hawaii Ballet Theatre, among others. David often crosses the borders between theatre, dance and performance art, and his multi-disciplinary projects have been presented at various venues across the U.S. (Honolulu, Minneapolis, Seattle...) Recent credits include his critically acclaimed Canticles of Salvation and his one-person performance extravaganza, Portrait of a Sissy. His choreography was recently featured in Men Dancing 2000, a collaboration of Hawaii's distinguished male dance artists.
