A pioneering force in Jamaican ska, rock steady, and reggae
during the '60s, here is why Desmond Dekker became reggae's
first international star and live performer still very much admired by
a new generation of fans. Outstanding recordings are: "The Best of
Desmond Dekker" (Rhino), "King of Kings" with The Specials (Trojan)
and "Officially Live and Rare" (Trojan). Good source of information
