SoundGasm - Who, What, Why, Where...?

My name is Raphael Sofer, and I am an Israeli born artist of varied interests. I like to travel, so I currently live and study in New Orleans, a city which prides itself for its musical heritage and handsome contributions to the history of music.
I like music, so I have recorded spools and spools of tape over the past few years, some of which bear testimony to greatness, and some don't.
I like sharing, so I thought it would be only fair that I share this music with people.
I like photography and art, so I have some of that around the house and on the web site.

Here I am at Jean Lafitte National Park. Nice park, isn't it? This picture was taken by my lovely girlfriend Karyn.

I have discovered that the world wide web is an excellent way for me to keep in touch with friends and family, and hopefully to share this music without having to actually make CD's or LP's at this very moment. However, if y'all would like to hear the music as vibrantly as it could sound, let me know!

My primary musical instrument is the guitar, and I have collected a few of those. Among the instruments in the studio are an accordion and a homemade instrument made of PVC that gets my frog Hiquat going. SoundGasm studio is in my living room, and currently consists of a four track cassette recorder and an eight track reel to reel that has been in Montero's shop in Harahan for months, though that looks like its going to change.
