Fractint

Fractint is a DOS based program (by the Stone Soup Group) for generating fractal imagery on the PC. You can download it for FREE! Fractals were only realised with the advent of computer technology, since they require multiple mathematical computations on relatively simple equations. Benoit Mandelbrot is credited with discovering their intricate beauty and computational simplicity. I mostly use the Mandelbrot set, the most simple equation of them all... and the one of which I am most fond.

Adobe Photoshop

In order to complete my projects, I scan in the images and edit the negative space using Photoshop. Using its wide array of layering capabilities and colour control I am able to combine the scans with the fractal images. Also the fractals are saved in 256 colour GIF format, and Adobe Photoshop allows me to change the format and increase the colour depth, giving the fractals a less grainy appearance. Also all my web-page graphics and buttons were created using it.

Solar Data Analysis Center	This site is full of information about the sun, with some wonderful pictures and computer enhanced images created from radio telescope data. I have used this site's excellent high-quality images of the sun in my work, plus I learned a great deal about Sol. There is even a section with the "sound" of the sun-- very noisy it is!

Australian Weather Photography	I wanted to finish my visions by adding realistic cloud images from photographs. Unfortunately I am on a limited budget, therefore I scanned the web for cloud images to use. Michael Bath was generous enough to allow me to use his pictures for my drawings, for that I am most thankful. This site is organised by cloud types and weather formations. Enjoy!
