Chapter Nine of the Choirgirl HOTeL…
Written by Jenn Caramia
So all these dudes and dudettes are on this raft waiting to be rescued or find a populated mainland. Fox Mulder had a great idea of trying to get his cellular phone in working order and began to move his focus from the bombshell Adrienne to tinkering with the phone.
Jenn started to bond with Jaime. The two girls have felt like they have known each other for years and began to feel as though perhaps this strange twist of fate is playing an important part of their destiny.
Pete who sat lonely as he could on the raft kept trying to join in on the conversation between the two women unsuccessfully. The whole group as a whole seemed to be in rather high spirits in the monotony of the ocean waves and the warm rays of the afternoon sun.
Suddenly without warning the two Taylor twins jump up from their sitting position at one end of the raft startled by the sight of sharks in the water. As a result of this sudden jolt the raft flipped sending the motley crew plunging in to the ocean waters (which are now shark infested).
The raft passengers kicking and gasping for air begin to surface and quickly swim to the over turned raft and climb aboard. Once the mass over the people are aboard they begin fox begins to take a head count to make sure everyone has survived.
Two people were missing! (Dun Dun da!) Where were Katiribelle and Pete? The passengers begin to desperately search the waters for their companions. Jamie points and yells out "There they are!" Katiribelle was swimming toward the raft dragging the meek Pete along with her arm wrapped around his chest.
Pete was not a good swimmer and Katiribelle has risked her life to save this poor excuse for a man. Jenn yelled out to them to hurry up freed himself from his rescuer and began a panicked swim to the raft. As he did this he un-meaningly pushed her down into the water and kicked her in the head in his panicked rush leaving her unconscious and lunch to the shark that was approaching them.
With the shark distracted he was able to safely make it back to the raft. The remaining passengers sat in a huddled circle watching the sharks swimming into the area, attracted by the sent of blood.
It would seem that all hope for survival at the sight of bloody water surrounding them.
FOOTNOTE…
P.S.- A correction in the story... Jenn spotted sharks and warned Katiribelle and Pete. Pete saw them too and freed himself from Katiribelle.
