The C Page

Welcome!

Pull up a chair, and get to know me!

How did you get suckered into that? Anyway, this is a page to tell you all about me. So, if at any point you feel that I'm being silly or sentimental, feel free to leave.

If you'd rather not wade through all the paragraphs I have a simple stat sheet that might make you laugh. Warning kids this one is PG 13...

News Briefs...
Obviously I haven't updated this page in forever, it's like looking at a time capsule of myself. And while all the information was at one point accurate most of it has changed. I'm going to leave it as is (as it's a rather pleasant memory). Any new info can be derived from my new site (the link is on the index page of this site).
I have nothing to share. If you're real interested check out theDiary of a nothing

I'm a junior at Plattsburgh State University. My major is theatre. I'd like to start a career in acting and playwrighting. We'll see. I am currently 21 years old (as of May 2000).

One of my passions is writing. I'll write anything, fiction, plays, auto-biographies that get me in trouble. Shameless plug, please check out my stories and poems page. I poured my heart into these works of literature, and would greatly appreciate some feedback. I also love reading stories and books. My all time favorite is "The Chronicles of Narnia" series by C.S. Lewis. Another more recent favorite is "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant. I recommend that, if you like fiction, to read these wonderful books.

I love Tori Amos. I have devoted and spent many hours on making Tori winamp skins. You can pick them up here...

I also love cows, cheese, and all things dairy. What you don't see on my web page is my love for drama, tennis, shotput, and other such things.

To elaborate on the drama part, I was a high school drama queen. I was so dubbed by Mike Dubay, once titled the drama king (at least in HFHS, my high school). We reigned the drama world for our four years of high school. I was in every play from my freshman year straight up until my graduation. I played many parts, but my most memorable were as a frustarted housewife in "The Nerd", a bitch nun in "The Sound of Music", and my most powerful performance yet as Lady Thiang in "The King and I". Lady Thiang was not the role I wanted, but as my high school drama teacher told me "No one else could've played the part as well as you." I learned a valuable lesson, it's not the size of the part, but the value of the performance. Besides the fact that I got to sing the most awesome song of the musical, "Wonderful".

As for tennis, I played on my high school team for two years. I was never good at tennis, and I ruined my knees doing it. But I have a passion for the sport, and for Pete Sampras! Woo-hoo. Through tennis I learned the value of hard work. So, I'll never play Wimbeldon, but I did end up being first doubles on the team. I worked my way up from second doubles, exhibition. It took a lot of work, hard practice and tears. Then disaster, my doctor told me I couldn't play until I completed physical therapy for my knees the second year I played. I wanted to cry; this was going to screw up my entire season! But I got through it, and I improved. Hard work does pay off, and patience too.

The shotput thing is actually kind of funny. Another sport at which I suck! During my senior year of high school I joined the track team to throw shotput. What a joke that was. I could only throw the shot about fifteen feet, but I had a valuable experience. I taught myself that I could do just about anything if I put my mind to it. The track team was something I had wanted to join for years, and I finally got the courage to do so my senior year. It may sound lame to you, but it took a lot for me and I'm proud I did it.

Another little known oddity about me is that I worked at a fun park called the Great Escape. The summer of '98 was my fourth returning to work there (hey, you've got to make money somehow) and definatly my last! I drove and supervised the swanboats. These are nifty little contraptions, let me tell you. They are small boats that seat about sixteen. The back looks like a swan, and that's where the driver sits. I just drive around all day and give a tour of the park to all my passengers.

Here's me on the swan boats!
