Mugabe's Record to date
- Extraordinary poverty throughout the country especially in
Matebeleland.
- Shanty towns in every town
- Very bad health provision with no doctors or nurses.
- Doctors have all gone to South Africa, Europe and USA for
better politics.
- 104 974 people on the Harare housing waiting list. (March
2000)
- Galloping inflation of 50-plus percent and increasing
- Punitive interest rates of 70 percent and rising
- Daily raising the prices of all products across the
economy.
- An average four-roomed house costs about $100 000
- Average pay is ZIM$2 500 a month for work. (ex-combatats
do not work)
- The loans facility for the poor has been abused. The
president's wife stole 25 million from it
- Overcrowding is rife. Mbare, Epworth, Nguboyenja, Sakubva,
etc with millions of residents
- Firms are relocating in neighbouring countries
- Unemployment is running at 70 percent not counting women
or peasants
- Rent in high density areas are as much as Zim$1000 per
month
- Bad or no sewage systems in high density areas
- No protection of citizens by the police who are too busy
stealing.
- The rise and rise of sugar daddies who have sex with
underage girls for money. The girls need money for food
- High numbers of street kids all begging for food never
mund clothes.
- Poor transport systems, even worse than those inherited
from Smith
- Scape-goatting. Blame droughts, AIDS, opposition, The UK,
IMF, Spies, spooks, whites, etc
- Looting by ZANU-PF officials who have accounts abroad.
- Demanding Party membership fees from the peasants each
year. They have none.
- Paying Zim $68 million from government to ZANU-PF as the
only allowed party.
- Paying ex-combatants $4500 each per month for doing
nothing. They have already been pensioned off at de-mobilisation in 1980, then paid $50
000 each in 1998.
- Threats of death to anyone who attempts to say anything to
the public. Death to those who do.
- Issuing contracts only to family members of Mugabe. Leo
Mugabe et al.
- The country has become poorer than it should have been.
The money is in foreign banks.
- Largest per capita cabinet on earth
- Largest per capita foreign trips budget by any president.
- A Mugabe sex scandal of larger magnitude than that of
Clinton.
- Murder in Matebeleland and other places.
- Attempted murder of Edison Zvobvo
- Murder of Josia Tongogara
- Murder of Pamire
- Murder of Rashiwe
- Murdering 14 people between February and April 2000 for
supporting Tswangirai
- Attempted murder of Joshua Nkomo
- False arrest of the other idiot Ndabaningi Sithole
- Creation of CIO to check opposition activities, rather
than to safeguard citizens.
- Sending young soldiers to die in DRC for a personal gain.
- Causing chaos in the country by stealing money allocated
to NOCZIM.
- Pretending to talk to Britain but in fact wanting to be
paid directly so the money can be banked abroad.
