Egocentric

i found him (luckily)
a week after they said he was lost.
ma and her society gals
whose supreme judgement
really can tell what's wrong and right
even when we mortals cannot.
he had his golden hair
carelessly unkempt, over his eyes.
some seattle wannabe
on first sight.
but seeing as (in this modern age)
first glances (too) often
turn to apathetic farewells
that's all he usually was.
but i found him.
and slipped enthusiastically
at his side
down his divine downward spiral.
seemed like a change of pace
especially for a future society gal.
mindless theories can consume
as can acid.
searing my pale skin
but i'm a bit of a masochist
so i liked it.
fun while it lasted.
i'm a master at one night stands.
five minutes of passion
five months of lonesome.
forever (eternity!) without him.
he must have really gotten lost.
(or maybe i got found.
either way.)
