Terry remembers his mother foraging for wild polk along the side of highways, growing the biggest and best tasting tomatoes, in her backyard garden, and, of course, her excitement at catching a fish. He also remembers her efforts to make sure he was taken care of while at college (washing, ironing and cooking when he was home for a weekend). He also remembers that even as she was dying, how she could lift your spirits with a joke or just by talking with you. She just wouldn't let you be solemn around HER death bed.
