Now tell me if this doesn't suck the big one... I've been dying to head out for a night on the town, right? Well, I was finally able to do that last night. I found a sitter and even had a little bit of extra cash from Christmas. I heard there was a local musician that was playing at a club in a small town next door. I've never heard him play before so I thought it would be cool to check him out because everyone has been telling me what a great musician this guy is. Well, I head to this place with my sister, who decided to come with me. We get there and the parking lot is empty. So we turned around and thought...now what? Head to the city? Sure, why not. So we did. Bad idea to pick this night of all nights. Every place around town was either closed for the weekend or they were filled with teenagers. We knew we wouldn't get any dancing in so thought about checking out the pool halls. They've got some pretty nice ones around here. That was a bad idea also. We stopped by two of them...CLOSED. The night scene was just horrible as all get out last night. Most of our time was spent on the road. It was really frustrating. We ended up at a popular rinky dink bar in another town and hung out there until it closed. The only thing really good about being at that bar, was getting to drool over the bartender -- what a stud! So I guess that was a pretty much wasted evening out. And all I wanted to do was dance. I guess I'll get another shot at it in about 6 months. C'est la vie. I did all my laundry today and even got some grocery shopping done. And right about now, I'm ready for a short nap. Gonna let the dog out then get to a little snoozing....zzzzzz...
