Safari, yeah!
This week is just moving along real nicely. A bit fast paced, but I like it that way. I get such a joy returning home from work to see my two babies (dogs, of course) so excited to see me. My son doesn't get as stirred up as they do. My 60# Boxer thinks he is a lap dog and also thinks only HE belongs to me. Today, I did something a little bit different. I took a break from cooking supper for everyone else tonight and decided to cook a nice meal for my two pups. They loved it! What would have fed the 6 people living in this house, disappeared faster with those two. When they were done, they both looked at me and wagged their tails (ok, their little nubs) as if they were telling me ... THANK YOU MOM!!! I had started cooking something for them a few months ago and was doing it every other day or so. I had slipped out of the routine withing the last couple of weeks. So, I know they missed it. Watching them enjoy their meal was the highlight of my day. Other than that, the day just went along.
Now, as far as my evening goes, who knows what will go on. It will be wild when the noise gets home. I think I may just lock myself in my room and fold my 5 loads of laundry that has been sitting since the weekend. As I look around this room, I see it could use a good tidying up. I may do that too. And I swore to myself that I would do no housework tonight and just relax for the evening. And look at me, already discovering things that need to be done. I think I need a "Life". Maybe i just need a nap. Or better yet, a vacation. Yeah, that would work. Everyone I know has this thing about taking a cruise or on a romantic trip to another country. I just want to go to Africa. I would love to go on a safari. That is the only place on this earth that I would spend lots of money to visit.
Off to another subject ... one irritation I have to mention: I hate being on a bulk e-mail list. Tor the last week I have not been able to remove myself from the list because the jerk has too many e-mails in his box at Yahoo to accept my request for removal. It really ticks me off. I finally called the phone # that was in the advertisement today to let him know that I was not happy about that. I will see if that did any good next time I check my e-mail.
