One of the first things we did after a short early morning sleep at our hotel The Stanford Arms was to visit the JC Group office on Waterloo Road and meet with Jackie's Business Manager and good friend the fabulous Willie Chan. I was intrigued by the fact that the graffiti we had left on the windows the year before was still in place; so I took a picture of my preliminist saying.
In early january of 1999 I traveled to HK with other members of the JC Fan Club to visit Jackie Chan on the set of his new film "The Glass Bottle" aka "Gorgeous" at a studio in New Territories. We traveled by private bus from the Chan Group office in Waterloo Street. The trip was arranged by Jackie's business manager and close friend Willie Chan and was led by his charming personal assistant and graphic artist Ysuma who is married to one of Jackie's stunt men. Before leaving Kowloon we stopped at Jackie's restaurant "Fishermans Wharf" where we were treated to a sumptuous cantonese lunch compliments of Jackie before venturing on to the studios. This was but another one of his gracious acts of kindness to his fans.
Visiting Jackie on the set of "Georgeous" was a wonderful experience and the sweet smell of estrogen high was evident among his women fans on the bus ride back. I did manage to obtain some excellent photos and he was genuinely happy to see us taking time out from shooting to pose with us and sign books.
