You probably have heard of this incident, but this second-hand account is particularly powerful. Sorry news, but this should go around, so please share to share this difficult it.

What’s up everyone? No, this is not a forward, it’s one of my really important letters so be sure you read every word of this. Well, a really bad incident happened two weeks ago in my college....Syracuse University.

My friends decided to go out on a Thursday night to a bar. I was supposed to go with them that night but I had a report due the next day so I decided to stay and be the good boy that I am and finish it up. Anyways, my friends went to a bar (the usual hang out) and had a few drinks, but did not get drunk or anything close to that. Some of them didn’t even drink. Anyways, they decided to leave at about 2:30 a.m. and go to Denny’s to grab a bite. The seven of them went...3 guys and 4 girls. All of them were Asian except for one white guy.

So they were at Denny’s waiting in line cause everyone goes there after the bar rush. There were a couple of people waiting in line which was a black group. So both groups were waiting in line and after thirty minutes of waiting, my friends realized that there were other groups who went ahead of them and the black group. Both of my friends went up to the hostess and asked her why they got seated first and she made it big and shouted out loud "Don’t even go there...." Right after this, the security guard told my friends to leave. My friends were cooperative and started going out.

The security guards were escorting my friends out using force. When my friend saw this, he told the guard "There is no need for that...we’re leaving anyways."

They were in the parking lot already and leaving when a couple of customers (caucasian), who were coming out too, told my friends, "Get out of here...go home." After they said that, they (five white people) jumped one of my friends. My two other friends tried to help but were jumped by 15 people (all white customers). They even hit the girl my friends were with and kicked her while she was on the ground. She was knocked out, unconcious, and had a couple of wounds. My other friends were bleeding like crazy and could have been beaten to death. The thing is was that the black customers, who were waiting in line, tried to help us, telling the security guards to help. The security guards told the black people "Get away or I’ll mase you!" After that he mased my friend who was on the ground bleeding. Can you believe that fucking guy????

It pisses me off. They finally stopped when the football players from inside Denny’s came out and helped.

More shit happened. My friends got up and went to the emergency room while more cops arrived on the scene. The cops told everyone to leave...even the people who jumped my friends. The black people tried the other Denny’s and were followed by the cops. The cops watched them the whole time when they were in Denny’s. Racists!!!!!!

Anyways, my friends were in the emergency room and called the cops to file a complaint. When the cops came, they said that he heard from twenty witnesses my friends started it. My friend was so pissed off saying "those were the people who jumped us..." My friends still wanted to file a complaint but were denied cause the cops said both parties were drunk.

My friends told the cops to get a blood test from all of them in the emergency room...just to prove to the cops that they were not drunk. The cops didn’t let them take it and left without granting them the complaint.

My friends were really messed up. The girl gained consciousness but had a couple of wounds. My other guy friends had dislocated fingers, boot marks, ribs broken, the ear partly torn, etc. But worst of all, it was the trauma that they are still experiencing. They haven’t recovered and I’m afraid they won’t for a long time. Everytime they see a white person, they get really paranoid and can’t face them the way they used to.

This case is really big. It was on the news (T.V.), in the Herald Journal, and other newspapers. My friends are suing Denny’s, county police, state police, etc. The Feds are looking into this civil rights case. My friends will probably earn a couple of millions, as did the other person who sued Denny’s for discrimination. Anyways, it has been two weeks and is still extremely big especially in our school. It has reached people all over the east coast. I’m writing this so you guys could spread this and tell people not to support Denny’s. They are racists and have shown that they are from the other incidents including this one.

I want to thank my professor for giving me a paper to write that night. In a way I wish I could be there to help my friends but even they said that it was such a traumatic event that no one could deal with. But then again, they are aiming for millions which can compensate for that. That’s my opinion. I may be all hurt but when I’m driving my Ferrari down the road, all the hurt would be forgotten.....just kidding! Anyways, thanks for reading this. I’m sorry it’s so long but it could have been worse cause there was so much more I didn’t bother writing in this letter.
