Four Years till Tomorrow
Over 50 years have passed since the World War Two ended in the Pacific, none too soon for those interned in Japanese prison and labour camps. In this book survivors, many of whom were children, relate thier dispair and hope in those camps in the 1940's Dutch East Indies, and the struggle after the Japanese surrender throught the "Bersiap" period and beyond. Recollections by members of The August 15th 1945 Foundation. A very timely subject now that so many people are uprooted in turbulent Indonesia, Yugoslavia, and various African countries. The map-book consists of 40 pages, size 11" x 17". The copy of the map book is slightly enlarged for clarity. The map of Java is cut into 7 sections, showing good detail including just over 800 plantations with names and locations. The cost is $20 per copy, plus mailing charges of $5.00 in Canada.
