Many years ago, angels appeared to several shepherds.

The angels proclaimed the glory of God, and told the shepherds joyful news - that today in the town of David, a SAVIOR WAS BORN.

The shepherds immediately hurried away to find the baby Jesus lying in a manger, exactly as the angels had proclaimed.

Our challenge today, is to think about what we would do if angels appeared to us, telling about a savior who was born.

Would we even take the time to listen?.....or......would we just hurry about our busy lives? Would we ask the angels to come back at a more convenient time, or better than that, we could ask them to make an appointment and then we could slot it in our date books!

How many of us would have the faith of the shepherds? How many of us would stop everything, listen, and then follow the angels message?

Lord, may each one of us pause a while today, to really listen to the angels deep within our hearts.

Today, right now, let us close our eyes, block out the noise surrounding our busy lives, and listen quietly to the good news - GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST HEAVEN, AND PEACE TO ALL PEOPLE. TODAY A SAVIOR HAS BEEN BORN , AND HE IS CHRIST THE LORD.
