WHAT IS A FRIEND?

A friend is a special gift from God! A friend laughs with us, cries with us, but most of all listens to us. A friend is a physical image of God's unconditional love for each one of us.

Jesus' gentle guidance, that calls forth the Godliness within our hearts, is often reflected in the words and actions of our friends, who watch over us.

With a friend, we can TALK things out, WORK things out, but most of all we KNOW THAT WE CAN TRUST TRUE FRIENDS.

We know, that in the midst of our humanity, our confusion, our errors, and our struggles to communicate, that God illuminates and blesses the gift of true friendship.

TO HAVE A FRIEND, THERE IS ONLY ONE REQUIREMENT

 - THAT WE BE A FRIEND!

Today, let us look to Jesus, our eternal friend, to guide us on the path of true friendship. May His Love flow from our hearts and enfold our friends in the loving arms of Jesus. May we serve and give to others without counting the cost, as we follow the hands of Jesus, who humbled Himself to wash the feet of His Disciples , at His Last Supper.

May we fill our hearts with Jesus' greatest commandment: THAT WE 'LOVE ONE ANOTHER, JUST AS JESUS LOVE US.'

MAY WE STRIVE TO ALWAYS TREAT ONE ANOTHER WITH EQUALITY, REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOUR OR CREED, MODELING OURSELVES AFTER JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, WHO CALLED HIS DISCIPLES FRIENDS, NOT SERVANTS.

WHAT IS A FRIEND?

A FRIEND IS A SPECIAL GIFT FROM GOD THAT WE GIVE AND RECEIVE.
