L
ord, to be quite honest, the majority of us are counting the days, the hours, and yes, the minutes, until this semester is over. It has definitely been quite a stressful first semester - filled with transition years, social contracts, and with the sad grieving of many loved ones who passed away. Sometimes, Lord, it seems so easy to focus on our own negative stresses - to feel our busy schedules closing in on us, and to feel that life is just one more essay to mark, on top of all of our other responsibilities.

We come to You, today, Lord, to place ourselves gently into Your Loving Arms. We come to You, in whatever frame of mind that we are in - happy, sad, tired, worried and maybe even ill. We invite You to ease our loads, and to just for a moment, help us to take a look at what we have here in our school, in a positive sense.

We have only to look at one another, to know that we have something beautiful right here in our school community. That something beautiful is us - the staff. We have a beautiful spirit of love, support and compassion, for one another that transcends all of our frustrations. Rarely , will we find a staff like ours - filled with dynamic, energetic caring teachers, and administrators.

We also have dynamic students who model our behaviour as a staff, and that is something to be proud of ,Lord.

Lord, may we begin today, in the midst of our fatigue, weariness and busy agendas, to strive to' accept the things we cannot change, change the things that we can, and may we be granted the wisdom to know the difference.'*

May we enhance and nurture the beauty that is within our school, until it fills our days with the light we need to see us through the dark times.

Amen
