Dear Lord,
Today marks the first day of uniforms!
We leave behind our t-shirts, our jeans, and all of our Civvies Clothes!
In all honesty, many of us our secretly happy to wear the uniform. There are many benefits - we get to sleep in longer in the morning - we don't have to get up early to try on ten different outfits to decide what to wear!!!
To some of us , the thought of wearing uniforms, fills us with dread!!!
However, Lord, help us to look beyond our clothes, to the deeper meaning of why we wear uniforms!
For many , many years before us, hundreds of students have been walking the hallways of our school wearing the colours (name school colours) Our uniform stand for our choice to attend a Catholic School - a Catholic School where God is the ultimate leader and center of who we are and what we do!
Our uniform stands for God's divine love, peace, compassion and goodness. They stand for tradition and community, but most of all, they stand for our belief in God!
Dearest Lord, help us to wear our uniform with great pride!
May we recognize the beauty that they stand for, and hold our heads up high!
