Dear Jesus,

 

I just got the news tonight! One of my friends had died! 

It was a car accident! 

I was just talking to him yesterday - making plans for the weekend- and now, he's gone! 

What am I going do do? How am I going to handle this?

 

Jesus, death at any time is hard to deal with, but when someone you love dies in a senseless, useless, accidental tragedy, it is horrible! I am feeling so confused! I am feeling so sad, and YES, I AM VERY ANGRY AT YOU, GOD! 


How could you let this happen to someone so young and so full of life?

 

Why, 

            Why, 

                     WHY???

 

Jesus, right now, in the midst of my confusion, I invite You to fill my heart with Your great Peace! Please calm my troubled mind and grant me the strength and courage to place my hand in Your Loving Hands- Hands that bore great scars - SCARS OF LOVE, for each and every one of us. You allowed Yourself to be nailed to a Cross so You could give up Your Life for us. THREE DAYS LATER, YOU ROSE FROM THE DEAD TO SHOW US THAT WE ALSO WILL ONE DAY RISE AND LIVE FOREVER WITH YOU, IF WE BUT ONLY FOLLOW YOUR GUIDANCE! Please help me to trust in Your great and powerful love - the love that changed the world! Help me to believe in You even though my heart is broken! Help me to have faith so that even when I can't possibly understand the loss of my friend, that You, Jesus, will mend my broken heart, and are with me always. Guide me, Jesus, along the pathways of Your Holy and Divine Will, and please watch over me during this time of great sorrow! May the beautiful memories that I have of my buddy, live on forever in my heart! May his smile, laughing eyes , and gentle loving ways become a vital part of my own life!

 

God bless my friend! I WILL NEVER, EVER FORGET HIM!
