Part 2

Sometimes they are so beautiful,
when the pieces fit just right.
The patterns they make can "lift you up"
when looking into the light.
Sometimes they seem so ugly and dark,
as if they want to show,
that every thing in life can't always
be the best, you know.

In order to make the patterns shift,
the kaleidoscope must spin.
Our love's like that, for now and then
you don't allow me in.
You keep your thoughts inside yourself,
and won't even let me be,
like a kaleidoscope and try to change
what is happening to you and me.

If only you could see our love
as a pattern that may need,
some changes or a shift in gear
in order to proceed.
I know that it can be arranged
so that our love we can repair.
Let's give it one more spin and hope
the perfect pattern's there.
