Hirumes has escaped after his loss of the last person who knew of his identity,
and Arslan finds himself mourning Bachman, and the answers that still elude
him. |
|
The next morning, at dawn, a flare is seen in the sky over Peshwald. |
|
Guibu and Narcasse intercepted the cause of this 'all clear' signal, a Shindran
named Jaswant... |

And caught him in a net to stop him from warning his forces of the plan
they had prepared to stop them. |
|
The Shindrans, atop their war elephants, are storming the river that surrounds
Peshwald, aware of the precarity of the Pars Kingdom, they wanted to take
their part. |
|
But everything had been prepared for this eventuality. Eram and Alfreed
released hundreds of mice in the river, which caused the elephants to go
on a rampage and stop responding to their cavaliers. |
|
Felled from his white elephant, Rajendra, the Shindran Prince that commanded
those armies, swiftly swam to shore, and safety away from the maddened elephants. |
|
Unfortunately, Alfreed and Eram were waiting to take him into custody, and
to Prince Arslan. |
|
To his great surprise, Arslan proposed him a friendship treaty, to help
each other in their times of need. His supporting Rajendra's claim to the
Shindran throne, while Rajendra had to help Arslan in his retaking of his
own Kingdom.
Rajendra accepted readily, having finally found a way to beat his brother. |

To celebrate their treaty, Rajendra went to drink with Narcasse, Farangis
and Guibu, becoming totally drunk, singing, and falling asleep on his chair,
soon followed by a very confused Guibu, leaving only Narcasse and Farangis
talking over their drinks. |
