MAIN CHARACTERS OF OVA3...
AND OUR STORY BEGINS...
|
Pars Year 321, Peshwald Fortress.
Two Pars warlords have sent representatives, and men, to come and pool
their forces with Arslan to help drive the Lusitanians away and free Pars
once more. |
|
The men seem ecstatic, as that new influx of soldiers will give them enough
strength to leave Peshwald and go on the move to reconquer the Kingdom. |
|
On the parapet, Farangis, Guibu and Alfreed discuss of the new developments
they are witnessing. Farangis and Alfreed sound confident... |
|
But Guibu is dubious. Those new allies, he thinks, only help Arslan because
of his recent alliance with Shindra, and the battles he won, not out of
real loyalty. And they would turn away from him just as fast. |
|
Eram and Narcasse are discussing in the courtyard. Eram thinks that with
Arslan's victory close at hand, the slaves will soon be emancipated, like
the Crown Prince had asked in Shindra. But Narcasse quells the boy's enthusiasm,
he thinks the warriors who are helping the Prince will oppose him on that
question. |
|
Lord Quishwald walks by, followed by quarreling Lords who are trying to
find a way to get the glory for themselves, almost proving Narcasses's words. |
|
The map of Pars that Narcasse had asked for had arrived, and as he gazed
at it he mused about the Prince's future. The Lords that follow him now
will try and serve their own purposes once the war is won, and he thinks
that Arslan is not prepared to deal with those power-hungry wolves. |
|
They decide that, in order to reclaim Ekubatana, they should take the Great
continental road. (Now I have to comment here: it's the only major road
from Peshwald to Ekubatana, isn't it a little too obvious?) |
|
Meanwhile, the Lusitanians are still holding Ekubatana, the capital of the
Kingdom of Pars. |
|
They are using slave labor to fortify the city and entrench themselves |
