AND OUR STORY CONTINUES...

King Inocentius has just learnt of the warlords flocking under Arslan's banners, and he starts to worry about how they will hold Ekubatana if the trend continues.
He goes to his younger brother, Guiscard, second in line to the throne of Lusitanian Kingdom, for advice. Inocentius thinks that they should kill Andragoras, that they are holding prisoner but Guiscard thinks it will only push the country towards rebellion. (Andragoras was said to be dead at the end of OVA1 but he's not, translation screw up)
Guiscard seems to be the actual leader of the Lusitanians, his brother spending his time praying and courting Tahamine. The Prince of Lusitania uses their religion to force his men to keep on fighting but does not seem to be a real believer himself.

The actions of the fanatic High Priest Bodan, who holds castle Zahburu, in the west of Pars, are starting to unnerve the Lusitanian Shoguns, and they see the growing of Arslan's army with apprehension.

Guiscard decided, to confront Arslan, to bring in all the reserve forces from the four corners of Pars. The Shoguns wonder about the wisdom of that decision, it would leave their defenses stretched.

The Shoguns who were in charge of bringing the reserves meet before Ekubatana. Even they do not approve of the Lusitanian Prince's decision.

We learn also that Guiscard has sent Silver Mask to deal with Bodan in his stronghold.

Meanwhile, King Inocentius, who already sees himself Emperor of the continent, is proposing marriage to Tahamine, the Queen of Pars.
She seems unmoved by his entreaties, and does not answer him.
Guiscard, seeing that scene from behind a pillar, wonders about what makes a King. His brother was King by the accident of his birth, but he is weak and unfit to rule. Now if he could only dispose of him...

Hirumes, Sam, Zande, and their 10 000 men, arrived at castle Zahburu.

Bodan, in the middle of a sermon to his men, does not know that Hirumes is about to attack.

They dropped oil in the water reservoirs of the fortress, and set fire to them, Zande and his men entering the castle in the middle of the confusion.
