	But the attack was merely a distraction, most of the forces watching teh castle burning from close to the drawbridge, waiting for teh advance party to open it to the main part of the army.
	Hirumes tells Sam that he must know how Arslan's forces are growing. While he is pretending to obey the Lusitanians, his real goal is to stop the one he sees as the usurper from taking back Ekubatana.
	The gate was opened, and Hirumes charged in with his men, to destroy Bodan's forces.
	Meanwhile, in Peshwald, Narcasse has discovered Silver Mask's real identity. That he is a Prince called Hirumes, the son of Osuerus, nephew of Andragoras, and Arslan's cousin. (Don't even ask how he came up with that information)
	Arslan realizes that if he really was his cousin, he would have strong claims to be Crown Prince himself. Narcasse adds that if Osoerus had lived, he would have been Heir. That he must have heard the rumours that Andragoras murdered his brother and then decided that the throne was his, allying himself with the Lusitanians to get it back. Arslan: "And it may be his by right..."
	Outside the audiance chamber, Zaravant wants to enter, and quarrels with Jaswant who is barring the way. The quarrel escalates into a swordfight, but they are stopped in their tracks by Lord Quishwald.
	Quishwald calls them to unite themselves against the Lusitanians. At the same time, Bodan's men are dessimated by the forces of Hirumes, but the High Priest himself is nowhere to be found. Hirumes, after having won the battle, chooses to keep the castle as his stronghold.
	The Maruyamu court escaped from the Lusitanians and sailed accross the inland sea to the northern region of Dairamu, but the Lusitanians had troops even there. As they tried to get ashore, the Maruyamu men were attacked, and helped by a mysterious bowman...
	And a strange one-eyes knight... Soon the Lusitanians were defeated and the Maruyamu Princess invited their two saviour on her ship, to meet her.
	Her attendant, Johanna, asks for their help. But Merlein, the bowman, member of the Zotto Clan, is unmoved by the pleas of the Aristocraty. He is here only to find her sister, Alfreed.
