Detailed descriptions of each set of fees and commissions from above.

Standard JaRose Arts Commission - back to top

This is the commission paid to JaRose Arts for each item sold through our website. This commission is attached to each item sold. This commission is used to help fund the website, pay our consultants, and help with general business expenses.

Check or Money Order Fee- back to top

This is the fee paid to JaRose Arts for each item sold that is paid for by the customer by check (personal/certified) or by Money Order. This commission is attached to each transaction. This fee is necessary to cover the cost of fees imposed by the financial institutions on a per transaction basis.

Credit Card Fee- back to top

This is the fee paid to JaRose Arts for each item sold that is paid for by the customer by credit card. This fee is attached to each transaction. This fee is necessary due to the per transaction cost of having this option available, and the per item processing charges that go along with offering credit card ordering options.

Ebay Submission - back to top

Ebay charges a per item listing fee to post items for sale on its site. This cost is to recover the fee for posting your work.

Shipping and Handling - back to top

Shipping of the item and all costs associated to ship the item to JaRose Arts upon a sale is the responsibility of the artist. JaRose Arts will then ship the item to the customer at the address requested by the customer. You will need to set your prices accordingly to ensure that you can recover the cost of shipping the item to JaRose Arts. You will NOT be reimbursed for shipping charges.

Insurance of items shipped - back to top

Insuring the item that is shipped to JaRose Arts and all costs associated with insuring an item upon a sale is the responsibility of the artist. JaRose Arts will then ship the item to the customer at the address requested by the customer. You will need to set your prices accordingly to ensure that you can recover the cost of insuring the shipped item to JaRose Arts. You will NOT be reimbursed for insurance charges.

Restocking Fee - back to top

If a customer returns any item ordered to JaRose Arts for any reason, or cancels his/her order, JaRose Arts will ship the item back to the artist immediately. If the artist so chooses, he/she may have JaRose Arts hold the item at its business until the item is sold to another consumer. If the artist wishes to have the item retained by JaRose Arts until it is sold again, this fee will be charged as long as JaRose Arts has custody of the item. This fee is not charged if the item is shipped back to the artist. This fee is PER ITEM stored in the custody of JaRose Arts.

Late shipping Fee - back to top

You have 7 days from the time you are NOTIFIED of a sale, to ship the item to JaRose Arts for distribution to the customer. This date will be determined by the postmark on the package sent to JaRose Arts. For each day past the 7 day grace period, this fee will be charged. If this fee applies, it will be charged back against your compensation, and you will be provided (free of charge) with a copy of the notification and the postmark of the item you were sent to show the validity of the fee if it applies. We require this because our customers should not have to wait longer than 14 days to receive what they have purchased.

No item available Fee - back to top

You will need to notify JaRose Arts within 24 hours with any item that is no longer available. If an item you have listed an item for sale, that is ordered by a customer, and that item is no longer available FOR ANY REASON, you will be charged this fee. If this item has been ordered by a customer WITHIN that 24 hour "grace period", you will not be charged this fee.

Cancellation Fee - back to top

If you have an item listed and FOR ANY REASON (other than NOT AVAILABLE as listed above) you refuse to sell that item to that customer, or refuse to ship that item to JaRose Arts upon it being sold, you will be charged this fee per item.

Misrepresentation Fee - back to top

If the item that is listed and/or sold to a customer is not the item that is listed and sold, you will be charged this fee. When JaRose Arts receives the item from you for shipping to the customer, it will be checked against how your product was listed on the site. If FOR ANY REASON it is not the same as the item listed, you will be charged this fee. An example of this would be posting an "original oil painting" on the site, and when ordered, JaRose Arts receives from you a photograph, or copy of the oil painting. You have then misrepresented yourself, and your item and will be subject to this fee.
