HOT! | November 5, 1998- Thursday/7:30 PM Japanese American National Museum limited seating -reservations required (213) 625-0414 for mature audiences Noel Alumit is an "American Flip." He received a BFA degree in Acting from the University of California. He garnered an LA Weekly Award for ensemble work in Chay Yew's A LANGUAGE OF THEIR OWN. His one man show THE RICE ROOM: SCENES FROM A BAR was workshopped at the Mark Taper Forum's Asian Theater Workshop and performed in theaters around Southern California. His one-act Mr. & MRS. LA QUESTA GO DANCING was produced by Teatro Ng Tanan in San Francisco. He received the Emerging Voices Fellowship from Pen Center USA West and a Community Access Scholarship to UCLA's Writer's Extension. Fred Payo is a waiting-for-a-big-break actor currently working in the non-profit world making non-profit money. He has shown his creative side in VC's ChiliVisions, the Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture and Barnsdall Art Park under the tutelage of Bruce Nelson of Project Able. He would like to someday do a movie with Chow Yun-Fat, Jet Li & Jackie Chan - he waits nightly by the phone. Edsel Tan was born in the Philippines, transplanted into LA as an infant and raised to be so culturally confused that escape was imperative. His skills include playing Flamenco guitar, Polynesian drumming , Shaolin Kung-Fu and performing. He does a 9-5 job to help pay for all his creative pursuits. Ke'o Woolford originally a recording artist in Hawai'i,is now an L.A. based multi-disciplinary performance artist. He has appeared in film, TV and stage around the country. He plans to bring his new one-man show, tentatively titled DA KINE, LI'DAT, to life very soon and also work on another recording.
