PRATIDAN

OBJECTIVES : The objectives of the society are:  

(i)  To undertake survey, study and research relating to socio-economic development, so as to assist in project formulation and execution of various schemes of development and upliftment.
(ii)  To prepare plans and projects for development through cooperatives, especially for upliftment of weaker and neglected sections of the society through integrated cooperative development and other means, which deem fit.
(iii)  To provide consultancy and advisory services to Government, institutions, agencies, corporate and cooperative bodies.
(iv) To assist institutions/NGOs etc. engaged in similar type of activities by providing necessary support services as well as work towards creating national harmony and the ultimate goal of national integration
(v) To enter into collaboration with institutional agencies and corporate and cooperative bodies in India and abroad for expanding these services. To formulate and execute projects in conserving the national heritage;  and setting up of museums for advancement of different traditional arts; performing arts and cottage industry.
(vi) To write books, prepare manuals and publish reports, journals, research findings/papers, surveys, reviews, comments, evaluation reports, brochures, posters etc. and success stories of developmental projects and activities. To undertake and provide for publication of specific magazines, and books to impart training and promote study of cooperatives, rural development and other socio-economic-cultural issues.
(vii) To make use of audio-visual medium in achieving the goals of PRATIDAN, creating wider awareness; propagates the goals of the society and make optimum publicity of the work being undertaken or done elsewhere on similar lines through this effective medium.
(vii)  To promote Inter-State, State and Inter-Continental visits and exchanges of groups of farmers, youths, women and cooperators for inculcating the spirit of mutual cooperation and to learn by each others' experiences in the field of cooperatives, better agriculture, socio-economic and rural development and to acquaint with each other’s social customs and cultural heritage and preserve them.
(viii)   To transact and carry on agency work of other consultants and to work as agents, representatives, consultants and advisors of individuals, firms, companies, Government departments, agencies, authorities, institutions, corporate and cooperative bodies etc.
(ix)  To undertake, conduct, organize and facilitate various study/hobby/entrepreneur courses, diplomas, seminars, conferences, symposiums and lectures, training programs etc. specially in matters relating to socio-economic growth, social and technical sciences, technology, computers sciences, management research and development.
(x) To establish and maintain libraries and information centers and services to facilitate the study of  socio-economic conditions, behavioral sciences, law, education and technological  development etc. and  problems relating to all round development of the society in the context of working surrounding environment.
(xi) To organize training courses for promoting institutional development and human resources in private, public, corporate and co-operative sectors and undertakings with a view to create employment opportunities for men and women of rural areas in particular and others in general to facilitates the training for developing rural, cottage and small scale industries.
(xii) To conduct examination and interviews and prepare results for recruitment of employees of government and corporate and cooperative bodies.
(xiii) To develop management systems and appropriate technologies in cooperative and corporate bodies.
(xiv) To enter into arrangements with any government, authority, company, firm, corporate and cooperative body or person to obtain any work relating to objectives of PRATIDAN and concessions and assistance which the PRATIDAN may think desirable.
(xv) To take up philanthropic activities for weaker sections of the society e.g. eradicating illiteracy, adult education, helping the older persons, children, the handicapped and disabled persons and spiritual and moral development of humanity.
(xvi) To open centers and offices of the PRATIDAN in any part of the world.
(xvii) To grant recognition and to receive recognition, to affiliate institutions and/or get affiliation from educational, engineering and technological and other institutions, organizations, departments, governments or centers etc. which are engaged in advancement of research, training and development in areas of mutual interest and which come close to the objectives and aims of PRATIDAN.
(xviii) To create awareness in the society regarding use of water resources, sanitation, hygiene, better environment and eco-balance as well as  about major killer diseases like AIDS, cancer and tuberculosis etc. through various multi-disciplinary programs.
(xix) To do all such other lawful things as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives.
(xx) To establish hospitals, drug deaddiction centers, Counseling centers etc.
