Falling leaves lie scattered on the ground.
For a just season, they live and thrive unbound.
Now they fall, without making a sound.
And with their parting, my world comes tumbling down.

A fall season, is when I first met you.
And from that time on, my love for you grew.
As the leaves begin to fall, I felt you leaving too.
With a broken heart I watch, there's nothing I can do.

I miss you, as I do the leaves when they desert their trees.
Helplessly, I endure the sadness as I grieve.
For you I yearn and through eyes that barley sees,
from the tears I cry, as I watch the falling leaves.

How my heart grieves, as I watch
the falling leaves....
