As many of you know, CITIZEN KANE was just voted the #1 spot in the AFI's top 100 American films for the first 100 years of film. However, we know that it is indeed the #1 film of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In order to commemorate this film, we here at WorldWideWelles are looking for someone, ANYONE to come up with a Desktop theme as a tribute to Orson Welles or preferably Citizen Kane in particular. We need this, people! I have searched the internet for a screen saver or theme on Citizen Kane and I can't find any!!
As many of you have known for some time now, Universal is ready to release"Touch of Evil" re-done to the way Welles would have wanted it. However, Welles' daughter Beatrice welles has the crazy notion that the way Welles wanted the film to be was the way it originally came out. Hasn't she read ANY Welles bee-ographies? (She should). Oh, welles, Universal is still planning to release the film, and had intended to unveil it at the Cannes film festivl, but the festival declined, not wanting to stir trouble against the Welles estate. Again, I repeat, if anyone would like to make a Welles desktop theme, screensaver, or anything, please contact me about it so I can spread the word. (You can even make one on Touch Of Evil).
