THE JOURNEY

What a way this train a rattle!
An' the poor little baby, blanket baby,
Cuddle up baby, can't get warm,
Can't get nothing but artificial love
(she mother wrap she in plastic one dawn,
Drop she in a garbage can just born),
(So now foster mother making love money
With sweet,cuddly,honey child, Bunny).

What a way this train shake an' rattle
Passing by Rude Boy grafiti laugh and chatter!

They paint miles a' train station an' building,
paint up miles an' miles of subway train dem,
Can't find nothing else to cool dey brain...
Going down, going down,plunging down,
Is Rat Alley We gwine into,Is Rat Alley
Where de homeless men los' dey bones,
Is a Valley of Dry Bones we gwine down into,
We plunge down from Rutland Road,
See how the Sun shine bright up here,
An ' see how it dark in dis plunge
Down, Down,Down Underground, never cease,
We gwine into the belly of a Big, Big Beast!

MEET DE SHADOW
Boy, this No 4 Express really tek off!
UTICA! UTICA! Express! Express!
An' before you could wink, GRAND CENTRAL.
But Walk forty mile down this dark alley ,
Drive by, Shoot out,man ducking for cover,
Innocent Boy child, Innocent girl child
Bite bullet, lie down in dust, no dream!
Innocent child dem kill by guncrazy teem.
You know, I sit down, I ponder
Four-day morning,(but was three O'clock),
All by meself, so I did think,
I look up, I see a Shadow man...
To Be Contd.
