Don Shaner
Don Shaner of Oil City was always very modest about his photography. Any compliments directed at his work were accepted in kind, but he often referred to his finer images as "dumb luck". The truth is, Don had a great eye for what others tended to overlook. He was best known among other club members as the guy who saw the beautiful aesthetics in everyday subjects. The loss of Don will be felt greatly by all who knew him. Below are some samples of his work.

Don's eye never missed the complex intricacies of even as simple a subject as a coil of rope. To Don, beauty could be found in all subjects. |
