Esoteric Atheism

"atheistic spiritual belief without scientific reasoning" --Founder

The 3 points of explanation

1.  Most atheists find their atheism through science.  We acknowledge the fact that the scientific method observes only phenomena detectable by the five senses.  A spiritual belief is intangible, so it is unobservable and untestable by the scientific method.

     2.  Most atheists use what they believe is universal reason  (science) to distinguish what is, and isn't reality.  Everyones' version of judgement, morality, and reason are unique----if they weren't, there would be no such thing as arguement, and even the atheists who claim science as their reason still argue amongst each other.

        3.  It is possible to think abstractly and beyond the tangible 'world' (if you will), this is how concepts like 'gods' come about.  Thinking beyond science will not necessarily lead one to faith in a god; it can lead you to atheism as well.  This abstract thinking is called spirituality, in which science should play no part, as it is illogical as stated above.  This is a forum for atheists who do not incorporate science into their spiritual beliefs.

Labeling a personal belief can be limiting to one's individuality, however, it's a pleasant alternative to either describing your entire perspective every time someone asks you what your "religion" is, or simply declaring yourself an atheist.   The name that we came up with is Esoteric Atheism.

The purpose of this page is simply to offer a forum for Esoteric Atheists.  We have two criteria for joining:

         1.  You must understand and agree with the basic idea                   of Esoteric Atheism: godless spiritual belief without                    science.

         2.  You must be a strong independent thinker and you must                   be comfortable enough with your beliefs that you                    don't need to convert people with beliefs different                    from your own.
