I've been using computers since about 1979. I was a regular arcade junkie
and used to play a lot of video and pinball games at the local arcade.
One dayI decided to take a look into the schools computer room. Not knowing
anything about computers at the time, I sat down and started punching buttons.
Right away ideas began to pop into my head. The next thing I knew, was
I began to read computer books on programming. Back in them days all we
had at our high school was Commodore PET computers. I started writing this
little game that would make an object move around the screen. Then have
the object beep when it ran into another object. Programming computers
was becoming fun and held a lot of potentials for the future.
In 1980 I got my first personal computer for Christmas, It was a Commodore
64. I started Converting my games from the Pet. They were E.T. The
Arcade game; P.E.T. Invaders And a full 6 sided Russ's
Cube, A Rubic's Cube Clone. The Following year I was elected president
of the Schools Computer Club. I then taught a computer class to beginners
in the evenings with my computer science teacher.
From then on I've done many computer related things including running a
local bbs back in the early 80's on my C64 called "THE DREAM TEAM BBS."
It was quite a busy bbs back then. Using only one phone line it had
over 300 users. As the C64 days were coming to an end, I purchased
my first PC computer In 1989. Later I went to Career Development Institute
and received my Micro Computer Specialist Papers. From then on its all
work related.
