WOMEN
OF ART -- OF WORDS
POETRY
Here are some very special words of a dear friend of mine who knows how to use them oh so well...ENJOY!

ANGELS IN WOLVES CLOTHING

I heard distant voices
calling out to me.
I looked around for faces
that I just couldn't see.

A strong force that I felt
was holding on to me tight.
The power of unity
pulled me from darkness
to light.

A Willow in the distance
told me that I had to stay.
She whispered, ever so gently,
"Please don't go away."

A Chowspirit spoke....
that, "this too shall pass."
I held onto those words
as my heart pounded fast.

Wolfsisters presence was stronger
than mere mortals could be.
The Great Spirit,
through them,
had visited me.

Nothing short of a miracle
were those wolf cries I heard.
Out of the mouth of angels,
as they whispered sweet words.

Today in the light,
in the calm of the storm,
perhaps they'll feel my gratitude
in some shape or form.

Glance up toward the heavens,
as the sun spreads its light.
Let it serve to remind us
we're not alone in our fight.

A TRIBUTE TO THE GODDESS

I cannot ignore the peaceful beauty
that today, my heart has found.
While my eyes and ears were covered,
she approached without a sound.

Her spirit needed no directions,
just seemed to know the way.
Her touch was soft and calming,
conveying all that it could say.

I think about her often,
in the sunrise of each day.
In the dark she beckons me,
to follow and not stray.

For in my heart,
I'll nourish her with all I have to give....
So joined as one in spirit,
together we shall live.

DIME STORE

I will meet you where the water meets the sand.
I will kiss your cheek and I will hold your hand.
I will guide you back to shore.
For me and my fair one shall be apart... no more.
I have waited anxiously for my true love to return.
The fire in my heart will forever burn.
I will meet you where the water meets the sand.
I will kiss your cheek and I will hold your hand.
Tell me of your journey.
Tell me where you've been.
Tell me of how it felt to feel the breeze blow through your wings.
Help me to understand why you had to leave.
Give me reason to have some faith and once again believe.
I am over being angry, I know you're not to blame.
Did you just give up trying to play a losing game?
I will meet you where the water meets the sand.
I will kiss on the cheek and I will hold your hand.br>
