"My name is 'Eneekwalsenpluswon', but my friends call me 'Infinitee,'" said the little creature in a nasal voice that set Spindizzy off laughing for a full minute.
Once she could breath again, Spindizzy asked if the little creature knew where to find the Largest Number. "But, I am the Largest Number," said the creature.
"Oh," Spindizzy replied, "How very nice to meet you.
"Wait a minute," cried the Grain. "How can you be the largest number. You don't even look like a number."
"Have you ever seen a number in person before?" Infinitee asked the Grain and the Grain had to admit that it had not.
"Well, all right then," Infinitee concluded and that was more than enough proof for Spindizzy who quickly explained that the Goblin King wanted her to bring the Largest Number to him in return for her freedom.
"After you've set me from from that dark box? Of course I'll come back with you. It's the least I could do," Infinitee said in that funny voice while Spindizzy failed completely to suppress her giggling.
As they returned to the crack pot for the journey home, the Grain said, "Spindizzy, you are a marvel. You've spoken with sand and gotten a response. You've traveled to an Unreachable Place. Found Impossible Things, including the Largest Number itself! Spindizzy, I'm beginning to think that you can do anything!"
Spindizzy paused as she walked along and then crossed her eyes to get a good look at her sandy friend. "You
know, Grain, I think you are right."
Some time later, Spindizzy found herself back in the dark caves under fairyland, curtseying before the Goblin King. "Well, Spindizzy, you're back quickly," the Goblin King observed. "How did your quest go?"
"Oh, fine," Spindizzy replied, though she had actually grown rather more interested in her own shadow behind her on the floor which had gotten confused during her flight and hadn't quite caught up with her again.
"Did you find the largest number?" the Goblin King asked with a broad grin.
    "You bet," Spindizzy replied.
The Goblin King looked surprised. "Please," he said, "Bring it forth so I may see it now."
"I let it go. I decided not to bring it back with me, said Spindizzy.
At this point the Goblin King's mouth opened wide in shock. "Whyever not? Don't you want to be free, Spindizzy?"
She smiled her crooked grin at him and replied, "But, Your Highness, I can do anything." She giggled. "And I often do!"
