The year is 1535. The people of Canterbury are at the end of their wits. They are overtaxed, overworked, and oppressed. It is the work of the evil Duchess Elizabeth Boleyn and her trusted servant the Sheriff of Canterbury who reign over our shire in the absence of the Lord mayor and his beloved wife. Rumors of an assassination attempt on our Good King Henry VIII run rampant, as he continues in his wedding celebration with his new Queen, Anne Boleyn. Yet there is hope among the people, talk of Robin Hood and his good deeds abounds. Intrigue lurks in the streets of Canterbury... Who is Duchess Elizabeth Boleyn, and what are her designs for Canterbury and the Lord High Sheriff? Did Robin Hood's secret message get through to the King? Has our hero's friend, Little John, truly turned against him? Will Robin Hood save the day, or will Will Scarlett slay him in the streets as he has avowed? Will the vile Sheriff succeed in marrying Maid Marian and in hanging Will Scarlett? And what of the Lord Mayor and his wife, the Princess Mary Tudor?
