The big GUNSCannon in Petersburg, Virginia.  This is where the Union army under General Ulysses S. Grant finally wore down the Confederates under General Robert E. Lee.  The Federal army laid siege to this rail town for 10 months before a weakened Confederate force fell apart.  The American Civil War ended just 6 days after the fall of Petersburg.

The Boat HouseI live in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  A coastal city of about 450,000 people, but there are still a few nice places where one can get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the country.  These are the remanents of one of those places, a once thriving marina just off of the Atlantic ocean that now lies in ruins.
