"I think I'd rather stay with you guys," you squeak.
 "Scardey cat," Tatiana sneers.
"Tati-ana," Michael gives her a warning glare.
You smile triumphantly at her, you heart fluttering because Michael stood up for you.
"Fine. Can we please get going. We're sitting ducks here." Tatiana fidgets impatiently to get her point across.
"All right," Michael sighs. "But I don't have the foggiest idea where to start. What about you ?"he asks.
You shake your head. Actually You thought of starting with the obvious. The door to the roof. You're not standing far from it you could try it without losing sight of Michael. They don't notice you slipping away; they are discussing possible strategies. You move quietly to the door and turn the handle. Much to your surprise the door open with no resistance.
"Michael!" you cry. He comes run up behind you with Tatiana right behind him. His face is creased with worry.
"What's wrong?" he asks, thinking you've been hurt. Then he sees the open door.
"It's a good thing you stayed with us." He smiles warmly at you and gives you a congratulatory pat on the back. Tatiana's eyes narrow and her skin turns a light shade of red. She's angry. Abruptly she positions herself between the two of you.
Trying to ignore her murderous looks, you ask, "Is it safe to go down? It seems to be too easy a way out."
Michael nods in agreement. "It may be the only way off of the roof. Or it could be a trap. You found it, you decide."

If you think it's the way out, continue through and close the door
              behind you at #7:
If you think it's a trap of Erik's, shut the door and continue on:

"I think it's a trap," you say, quickly shutting the door. "Let's look around some more. We can always come back."
"Okay," Michael says. The three of you search until sunrise. You can't believe the time. Michael is having a hard time staying awake; you forget that he hasn't had any sleep after doing a taxing show like Phantom. Tatiana has ceased her jealousy or has at least put it to the side and let's you help her support him. Things get worse as the sun gets higher. Michael collapses and you both try to wake him. The little fairy is in tears, though you think he's just sleeping. You tell her to wait with him while you try the door again. She nods tearfully and you make your way to the door. You try the knob; it won't budge. You pull and kick and scream at the door until the last of your strength has diminished. Barely able to stumble back to Michael, you fall next to the fairy girl. Then you witness something peculiar. As Tatiana watches over Michael, she begins to cough; her strength seems to fail her and she falls to the ground. She makes a feeble attempt to get back up, but can't. She lies there, motionless, her light growing dimmer and dimmer until finally it goes out all together. You feel guilt tug at your heart and feel somehow responsible for what has happened. Exhaustion overcomes you and you vow to go get help for Michael just as soon as you take a little nap. You close your eyes and slip into blissful darkness. You never open them again.
