TEMPTATION
OUT OF REACH, IN MY SIGHT
SITTING IN THE BRILLIONT LIGHT
MY MUSCLES HURT AND BURN
HEAD ACHES, STOMACH CHURN
IN HASTE I BREATH FAST THEN HARD
TEASES ME FROM ABOUT A YARD
I SQEEZE MY EYES, CLENCH MY JAW
THEN IT TIPS AND STARTS TO FALL
WENT TO FAR TO SAVE
TIL IT FINALLY GAVE
ON MY HANDS AND KNEES I STARE
AND THERE IT IS THAT TERRIBLE FEAR
GRABBING FOR SOMETHING AROUND
YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT I FOUND
TWISTED, FILTHY INAMIMATE
THERE AS IF BY SUDDEN FATE
EVIL IS TALKING REAL SMOOTH
BUT DOES IT SET TO SOOTH
GENTLE, GENEROUS TO LEND A HAND
AROUND THE WEIGHST A FIREY BAND
"LET US TALK FOR WHAT IS DEAR"
HIS VOICE HAD A HINT OF CHEER
"DO FOR ME, AN THEN WHEN THROUGH,
YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU HOLD TRUE"
I PONDER IN ALL THIS CONFUSION
WHAT IS IT THAT HE'S A DOIN'
UGLE, FAWL WITH HIS GRIN
WHERE HAS THE MAN REALLY BEEN?
HOW DOES HE KNOW MY FALLIN'
HERE AT MY SILENT CALLIN'
ARM OUT, OPEN FIST
VISION OF ETERNAL BLISS
"LISTEN IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD
AND GO DO WHAT YOU SHOULD"
