Well, Molly and Stan insisted and we've been resisting the request for a while now. However they told us yesterday that they were withdrawing cuddly-pussy-on-knee privileges and bringing more mice into the house as from now. So we've given in to the inevitable and put a gallery of their pictures on our website. However they want us to tell you how badly they were treated before they found the biggest cat basket in the East Midlands. So here goes:

Molly was a rescue cat and we had her along with her brother , Sam. They had been given to the rescue society by a family whose cat had had three kittens and the family only wanted to keep one. So they put Molly and Sam in a shed in the garden until a home could be found for them. They were fed and watered but received very little human contact or love. We also think that there must have been small children around who picked them up and threw them about. Even now Molly does not like being picked up.Unfortunately, instead of doing what we should have done, taking them straight to a vet, we left it a week because we had been told they were fit and healthy and took the societies word for it. Within the week Sam had died from an chronic attack of worms and Molly was ill for weeks. She is okay now and very fit and has regular checkups but it was a long struggle with her for many months to make her well and trained as a house cat. So if you get a cat take it straight to the vet for a once over. However she has recovered very well and is a very independant but loving cat.

Stan is a differently natured cat. He was originally found through a telephone call to a cat rescue charity who had sent him to the vets to be neutered.( which is the policy of most cat rescue charities now.) We went to see him and fell in love with him immediately. We know very little about his story before he came to us but ourselves and the vet think that he was simply unwanted and was taken to the charity as a 'stray'. He is a loving, gentle animal and loves us and Molly with equal affection. He helped Molly to develop her personality and as you can see from the pictures is a cute and comical cat.
