The relationship between the Signs and the Elements come into play when the question of “balance” in is play. Specific signs are related to one of the four Elements and when you determine their relationship you will be able to find out how balanced your Signs / Elements are.

Fire. Balanced Action is the way of achieving goals and resolving problems. Directness may at first be startling to others, but in the end it works out for the best for it means that everyone knows where they stand. Temper and anger should be readily expressed, but they subside as soon as the excess energy has been discharged. Parties and enterprises benefit from the steady flow of joy and enthusiasm.

Earth. Balanced . Reliable and consistent, more often then not delivering what is promised. A good sense of the psychical which can show a healing or sensual touch, but without it being the sole means of making contact with others. Keeping material affairs in order is a rule and there is not a great importance attached to money an material status. In a world where society stresses the material side at the expense of the spiritual, there may be a feeling of inadequacy.

Air. Under emphasized . Stopping to ponder the implication of any particular issue is not something that is an natural inclination. It is difficult to detach physically or emotionally and survey the situation in an objective and impartial fashion.

Water. Balanced . A good emotional role model for those who have trouble just “being themselves”. A response to others is usually rich and heartfelt, and so a warm buoyant flow is created. An empathic nature can enable you to determine exactly what the state of an individual is ~ even in their physical absence. In the long run, it is the concern for the well being of others that balances your own emotions.
