Our Trip to New York  7/00
Well folks, we just got back from the city that I love.
And I have to say, it was a bittersweet reunion.
To come back to South Florida after a week
of sheer bliss, well was a bit of a sad reality.

I will be adding pictures of
our trip within this month.  It seems that a week is
just not enough time to do everything you would like
to do and see everyone as well.

But, we managed to squeeze in many visits and
many sights as we could.  We stayed on the Island but took
a few trips into the city. The most exciting was when we went
into Manhattan.  Had a great day, great weather, and
absolutely fantastic Hot Pretzels!!

The thing we realized the most, was how many times we
felt the need to stop and sit down for a break...lol.

If you ever get the chance, while visiting Manhattan, go
to Broadway, right at Times Square, find the Marriott Marquis
and go up to the 8th level lounge.  As you might imagine
the drinks are expensive but well worth the ambiance and
view of Times Square and Broadway!!
Breathtaking to say the least.

All in all it was a wonderful trip, but much too short...=(
Not to mention, the fact that we decided to try
a new means of transportation to get us there from Florida.
We took a Greyhound bus.  And, contrary to popular belief,
it was a rather nice ride.  Comfortable, convenient and
most of all very inexpensive.  Arriving into the Port Authority was
very easy and quite safe as well.  I would recommend taking
Greyhound to anyone that would be interested
in alternate means of transportation to NY.

The drivers are extremely precise in their schedules it seems,
and when they stop (which is sufficient enough for anyone),
they leave when they say they will!  So, you better make sure
you are on the bus when they tell you to be there.  They really
do make ample stops, so that makes the trip all the
more tolerable.  As far as being on time, well, from
our first experience, they were on the money both
going up and coming home.
Traffic, weather conditions, and construction,
somehow did not affect their arrival
times at all.  I was totally amazed by
that fact alone.

So, if you are ever considering taking a trip
to NY from Florida or anywhere else,
that is a long trip, and you don't want to fly for
some reason, or drive it yourself,
then I highly recommend going Greyhound.

(This is not a shameless plug for Greyhound,
by the way...lol).

Well, I will add pictures as soon as I get
them back from the developer.
Until
then...

Peace To All.
