Suicide Scene
by David McCoy
There the body laid,
it was ready-made, and prepaid,
Kavorkian's mass marketed, do-it-yourself
kit,
with a 50 cent off coupon for Joe Camel's
treat,
"easy, breezy, beautiful" was written on the
box,
convenient, quick and "in."
He passed beyond,
too impulsive to say goodbye,
and too quick to cry,
he went and that was that,
condemn not his name,
or label it a shame,
or him insane,
but weep his sorrow,
shed his tears,
He has faced the greatest of our fears,
death.
He lays there now,
cold and blue,
but what's it mean to you?
