"This Could Have Been Written By ANYONE You
Know....But It's by Me": I guess you could say this is my most
"famous" poem, I've had it published in XY
Magazine, under the title "fact," (Issue
# 14 Age), Oasis Magazine (January
1999), and also in my school's lit magazine The Purple Aardvark.
"Suicide Scene": A poem about suicide and societies apathy.
Disappointment: This poem illustrates some of the pain and loneliness that all gay/bi teenagers go through.
The Beauty Of the Night: This poem is not just about the beauty of the night, it's also meant to be about the beauty and warmth that can be found in things that are often overlooked and unseen.
I Understand: This poem is about empathy.
Y?!?: A poem about the apathy of society.
Am I, Could I be Alive?: This poem is about the pain of loneliness and isolation.
Heaven: No Vacancies?: In this
poem a person is thinking about suicide and weather or not heaven is a
place that could exist for them.
Here's something for you to ponder....
Who Helps the Helpers?
by David McCoy
The lights have all
gone out.
The Soldiers have thrown down
their swords,
The prophets have lost
their voices,
And this poet has run out
of ink.
