The Vampire Poem
I want
her heart
To treasure always.
I would have her soul
To care with my own.
I would
dare the sun
To sit with her at dusk.
I would languish in my lair
As the day greets her beauty.
I would
savor her life...
Upon the end of my tongue...
I would languidly feast
Upon her flesh...
I would
take her
Into the night and
Fly with her up on high...
I would
seduce her with
Words purred soft and
Touches gentle and fleeting.
I would
die without her in
My immortality...a husk empty
Of passion and life.
I would
take her to the river's edge...
And I would kiss her good bye.
