Waiting For Forever
Sweet
grass sway softly
On gentle spring breeze.
Songbird spies from high
Two lovers so entwined;
Hears their breathy sighs.
Mouths
joined in passion's fire,
Skin bared to sun's delight,
Beaded sweat on tongue's end,
Hands seeking rapture's death,
Love's sworn to day's witness.
The end
slow inviting flesh,
Gaining speed with every cry.
Words lost on guttural tones,
Arching neck bared intent;
Mark left to forever possess.
Two
joined as one molten fire,
Nothing is but what they hold.
Breath rasping tuned with each,
Together trembling after the heat;
A lifetime spent for now.
And the
silent grasses sway,
The joyous songbird sings,
Time passes on velvet wings,
Waiting for forever
To begin again.
