"Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living one.
I was dead, and see, I am alive forever and ever;
and I have the keys of Death and of Hades"

Doubting of Thomas

The Burial of Jesus - (Extracted from the Bible)
A righteous man, named Joseph went to Pilate and asked for Jesus's body, and it was given to him. Joseph took the body, wrapped in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. They rolled a large stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away. But the Pharisees had ordered some guards to guard the body, as they remembered Jesus telling them he would be risen three days later.

The Resurrection
The next morning, the women who had followed Jesus from Galilee went to the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord had rolled back the stone. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow. The guards were afraid and fled. Jesus has risen

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Lord Jesus. He is not here; he has risen, just as he say. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples:'He has risen from the dead and is going on ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' " So the women, afraid yet filled with joy, ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them, "Greetings," he said. The women clasped his feet and worshipped him. Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

Jesus Appears to His Disciples
When the disciples were together, with the door locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you!" Then he breathed on them the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Appears to Thomas
Rejoice with Jesus, our Lord! Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But Thomas said, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." A week later, through the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen me and yet have believed."

Then Jesus said to all, "All authority in heaven and on earth was given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Jesus gave many convincing proofs that he was alive and appeared to them over a period of forty days.

I believe that Jesus Christ is God's own son who became a man so that he could die for our sins.
