Wynnum Opens Day 1:
Peninsula vs South West

Peninsula began the defence of their championship crown impressively, when they beat South West region 50-0 on the first day of the Opens at Kougari Oval Wynnum. Like their country cousins and fellow perennial battlers from North West, the South West boys were not short on courage or tenacity throughout the championships, but were simply outgunned by stronger outfits and the tyranny of distance.
