Wynnum Opens Day 1:
Metro East vs Sunshine Coast

These days enjoying a kind of allegiance as rivals, Sunshine Coast and Metro East clashed in this opening match of the Open championships at Kougari Oval Wynnum in May. The Coast won 28-20, and went on to fight out the minor title with South Coast. They lost that encounter 26-16, finishing 6th in final placings.
